Sail NI are based in the prestigious 5 Gold Anchor and European Blue Flag Marina at Carrickfergus, and all brokerage listings are also displayed in our Elan sub-agents and Partner broker's office in Kinsale, Cork. With another brokerage base in Lough Erne, as well as Sail NI brokers located in Strangford Lough and north Wales, Sail NI also has established links with other brokerages around the UK and Europe.  Regular attendance at boat shows is a further way we can increase the profile of your boat for sale. We use this network as well as online listings to advertise your boat as widely as possible, or to help you find the boat of your dreams.

Inspect and photograph
Our brokers inspect and photograph all offered craft in their region, so you know that you can trust our listings. 

Competitive brokerage rates
All boats and other items are free to list, with competitive commission rates.  If we don’t sell your boat, you don’t owe us a penny. 

Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
We also have professional indemnity and public liability insurance so all parties are protected.

Clients Account
Sail NI have a dedicated client’s account which is solely used to process your deposit and payments, or there is the option of using an escrow service (a solicitor holds client monies on behalf of clients during the brokerage transaction). The operation of such an account provides better protection for client monies.

Prior to advertising the boat for sale, we provide a listing agreement so all parties know the terms they work under.  If you are interested in purchasing a boat we can help organise surveys, sea trials and deliveries of the craft if necessary.

Professional Knowledge
Sail NI have professional knowledge of VAT and RCD (Recreational Craft Directive), and can advise you on this if required.  We also use an industry-approved Sale & Purchase Contract for your added peace of mind.  We can liaise with a finance company to assist the purchaser in securing a marine mortgage or other financial package.  We also have experience in arranging the notorising and apostille proofing of documents if you require this service.
